Die WordPress Kommentarfunktion wird oft nicht gewünscht, und natürlich lassen sich Kommentare problemlos einzeln für jeden Beitrag / Seite oder generell abschalten (Einstellungen -> Diskussion).
Um das Backend zu entschlacken lassen sich mit folgendem Eintrag in der functions.php alle Hinweise auf Kommentare entfernen:
